RESERVED mulberry black congo leather doctors gladstone bag

A beautiful rare vintage mulberry handbag. Designed in the traditional gladstone or doctors bag style, this is an absolute classic peice of vintage design. Crafted from stunning glossy black congo leather and featuring solid brass hardware, this gorgeous bag is the perfect companion. The front of the case has a raised logo blason oval plaque, whilst the rear has a removeable crest shaped leather luggage tag with the circular brass authentication fob. Tied around the handle anchor is a leather clochette which holds a brass key, though unfortunately the original padlock is no longer with this bag. The bag is carried by two rolled leather handles which can be securely joined at the top by a leather studded strap. The interior is lined in traditional mulberry tartan cotton. The top edge is framed and when unzipped the sides can be popped open for ease of access. There are four sturdy brass feet to the base and the bag comes with its original removeable shoulder bag.
