returns policy & returns procedure

We offer a standard 14 day returns policy as part of our website terms & conditions. Please make sure you are in agreement with this returns policy alongside prior to placing an order with ourselves. 

You can return any item you have ordered from lovehandbags.co.uk (by insured Royal mail special delivery post if in the UK or a similar international method if purchased outside the UK) for a REFUND or EXCHANGE within 14 days of the dispatch date, and we request you inform ourselves via email of your intention to return any item within 7 days upon receipt of your goods. Any item to be returned outside this 14 day period will be issued with a love handbags store credit at our discretion which is to be used within a 12 month period (reviewable upon request) from the date of issue

All items being returned to ourselves must be in the same condition as received from lovehandbags.co.uk, unused from receipt, within the original box and including all original packaging.  The secure label attached to the item(s) upon receipt of your purchase must remain fully intact without deformation. We request you fully inspect your item upon receipt and prior to removing this label.

Please email ourselves at customercare.co.uk then COMPLETE the RETURNS FORM as provided within your package.

In all cases, except where an item is faulty, the item(s) returned must be in their original and saleable condition without having been used by yourself. This includes all packaging and labelling. (If you are trying your handbag for size or appearance, may we suggest you stay inside while you walk around with this?)

All goods are thoroughly inspected on return and are your responsibility until they reach ourselves, so please make sure you package them up well to prevent any damage during transit.

The Initial POSTAGE & PACKAGING costs, as well as any RETURN POSTAGE cost incurred, is NON-REFUNDABLE (unless otherwise stated).

On our RETURNS FORM please indicate the REASON FOR RETURN and in the case of a fault or error on our part, please provide a full description in the space provided. We require your feedback and will use this information to improve our service.

Your receipt for your return package at the Post Office counter, can be used to track your returning item(s). We unfortunately cannot accept liability for returned goods that we don’t receive, or for those that get damaged during shipping on their return journey.

We process refunds for products received via post within 7 -14 days of receipt, and will notify you by email when your return has been processed.

In the odd instance that items have been shipped to you which do not conform to your original order, we will refund your initial delivery charge and return postage. Please email to confirm, then return the item(s) to us using Royal Mail special delivery (retaining your proof of postage).

If any damage to a faulty item is deemed to be malicious (why, you ask, would anyone wish to hurt a beautiful handbag?), no refund (not product, nor delivery charge, nor return postage) will be made.

We cannot accept liability nor can we take responsibility for any bank charges that you may have incurred during your purchase process from lovehandbag.co.uk

On receipt of your return, thorough inspection checks will be carried out in conjunction with the reason specified on the return and once approved a refund to the original payment method will be issued. Please allow up to fourteen (14) working days from receipt for this refund to be made.

Delivery charge refunds can only be made in accordance with your legal rights under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 and other applicable legislation. Please contact your local authority Trading Standards department or consumer advice centre (for example the Citizen’s Advice Bureau for UK customers) for further information about your legal rights.

UK returns must be forwarded fully insured via royal mail special delivery requiring a signature upon receipt, as we cannot be responsible for any returning goods (your property until in our hands) lost or damaged within the postal system. 

european and international returns 

International returns must be forwarded via a fully insured signed for method of choice and we request that upon dispatch, you notify us with the shipping consignment code and of estimated delivery date.  For International return details please contact customer care for return address details.

cancellations of orders

If you require to cancel an order you should inform us promptly.  If your item has not been dispatched we will manage this as a refund. You will be requested to follow our customer returns process if your item has already been dispatched, whilst meeting all the criteria as above. 

Under the UK distance selling regulations, you may cancel the contract for purchase with Love Handbags at any stage from your placing the order to delivery.
